As anyone who knows me may attest, I have a particular aversion to having my photograph taken. The last photo of myself I actually like was taken when I cannot have been more than four and shows me sitting with my teddy. For the last thirty years, at least, I have strenuously attempted to avoid being caught in the line of fire wherever possible. Very occasionally, someone manages to catch me at a moment or from an angle which does not yield the usual hideous result. When such miracles occur, I might - just might - publish something here...

To be honest, I don't know how old I am in this picture. But it's still my favourite picture of me.
Zermatt, Switzerland February 03, 2004
Well, it's my site, and I choose the photos that get posted, so you can't blame me if I try to find one that makes me look vaguely cool.
I only started to ski when I moved to Swtzerland, and it's become something of a passion. I just can't get enough of it.
Oh, and yes, I did just come down that impressively steep mogul run behind me.

At last, a picture of me that I'm prepared to share with other people.
Geneva, Switzerland August 20, 2005
So, I bought this new camera, and the first day I had it it rained all day, and I couldn't go out and take any pictures of the nice people in Geneva or the lake or anything like that - so I took pictures of myself in front of MTV. This is the one I liked the best. There were another thirty or so. And no, none of them had all my face in.

I took this picture soon after I bought my new camera during the summer of 2005. In some ways, it sums up much of my life over the last few years...

Continuing with the theme of partial self-portraits, here's me in front of a very beautiful model who may or may not be scratching my head.
Geneva, Switzerland October 14, 2005
Yes, it's another picture featuring only part of my face. Actually, the pink tie is the real subject of this portrait.
Zermatt, Switzerland February 18, 2006
Two years on, another picture from Zermatt. Perhaps the scariest self-portrait I've ever taken.
