Or something like that.
A busy couple of days for the Boy Wonder : the no-doubt-riotous Hemel Hempstead skiing party this weekend was followed by a trip to the cinema to see The Incredibles (I notice that every once in a while they put jokes in that go over the head of the younger ones, quipped the thirty-five-year-old-in-an-eleven-year-old's-body BW).
As for today, it was time for the grudge re-match against Wotnorugger (see here for details of the first titanic struggle between these two heavyweights of Under-12s football, which ended in a 5-1 victory to Wotnorugger). The plucky Hogwarts team again put up a gallant fight, it seems, before going down to a thoroughly respectable 3-1 defeat. I'm looking forward to the re-match of the re-match, said a defiant BW, when we draw 1-1 - showing just the sort of fighting spirit and instinctive understanding of numerical series the PO admires.
As for the BW's personal performance, he was, as ever, reluctant to go into details, but when pressed admitted that he felt he had played better than in the previous match, summarising his contribution admirably succinctly - I kicked the ball further and put it out more - and thereby proving that he had indeed taken to heart the PO's earlier words of wisdom.
Finally, it was straight from the playing-fields to the music school for orchestra practice, with just enough time to accompany on the piano a couple of violinists in a quick run through a little Shostakovich number.
Am I getting old, or is it getting harder to keep up with today's youth ?
