Or perhaps that should be "The Boy Wonder Lives !!"
Or "The Paternal Optimist Lives !!", for that matter.
Whatever, this blog is resurrected, at least temporarily, in order to bring you something which will no doubt one day be considered of enormous historical significance : a recording of the BW performing Gerald Finzi's beautiful Eclogue (a movement from the Piano Concerto he never wrote) at the legendary St John's, Smith Square, in front of a large audience, many of whom were parents or grandparents of those performing, but many of whom were not.
As you will hear, he played with the delicate touch and maturity that makes the PO such a proud father. Just be patient when it starts - it actually begins about ten seconds in. Oh, and any deficiencies in recording quality are entirely the fault of the PO.
Um - isn't pride one of the Seven Deadly Sins? :)

Yes - though I'm not sure pride in someone else's achievements comes into the Deadly Sin category. Either way, I am more than happy to assume the consequences of my pride on this occasion, whatever they might be - being broken on the wheel, or being provocatively prodded by my friends ;-)

The nestlings SOOOO enjoyed a relaxing drinking session to this wonderful music (milk drinking). They wish to convey their pride and awe at having such a talented cousin.
